A ‘Fourth Revolution’ is already underway across the world, and it promises to be a spectacular reimagining of traditional education systems. This need for reimagining was caused the devastating COVID-19 pandemic that disrupted the rapid globalising of the economies of the world, spurred by advancements in transportation and communication. However, the advancements — heavily influenced by Artificial Intelligence and its offshoots — have also raised ethical questions, raising existential dilemmas over liberal values. The discussions at this conference over two days on March 5-6, 2022, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India will involve internationally-reputed personalities, institutions, and decision-makers, physically present or in virtual mode.

Global Dialogue Forum (GDF)

Global Dialogue Forum (GDF), the India Office of the KonradAdenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and the Ministry of Defence think tank, Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), are pleased to invite you to the Global Dialogue Security Summit 2021 — Managing Cyberspace in the Indo Pacific being held on November 24-25, 2021, in Shillong, Meghalaya, India. The Government of Meghalaya has supported us as part of a science and technology initiative in celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the state. This two-day conference — in both physical and virtual forms, and involving senior global decision makers and influencers — will be live-streamed for free viewing on Zoom (link will be shared with the registered participants) and on the Global Dialogue YouTube channel. Concept Note: A future world dominated by cyberspace is being shaped before our eyes. It has already influenced and redefined many vital concerns of humankind — from defence and security to the environment to health to social life. Its algorithms will in time accurately predict what is to come; based on data from the past and present, to hopefully enhance the quality of life. It is indeed a ‘Fifth Frontier’ — laying down the contours and content of a world order that was previously determined by dominance of land, water, air and space. Analysing this ‘Fifth Frontier’ — with its threats and opportunities — will form the substance of this conference.
